It's almost beach season and time to choose that dreaded swimsuit. Johnson says that there's a major misconception about swimwear; just because you have a less-than-perfect body doesn't mean you have to cover everything up. She says it's all about comfort, confidence and fit.

Sometimes, life is a contradiction. On the one hand, you love the freedom and abandon of summer or a beach vacation; on the other hand, there's the unfortunate matter of buying (and wearing) a bathing suit. Yes, it can be painful. But no, you don't need cosmetic surgery to look great. Whether you worry about your bust, your thighs or your belly, buying a suit that looks and feels fabulous is completely possible.

All you need for a positive suit-buying experience is a little know-how. Recognizing which swimsuit style is most flattering for your shape is half the battle. The other half is realizing that there are very few perfect bodies out there and that everyone is self-conscious about some part of their figure.

What should a trip to the beach be without a great pair of shade? iVillage style expert Mally Roncal has tips for choosing the right sunglasses for your face. Mally's biggest piece of advice is to buy a great pair of sunglasses that you really love, and then buy several less expensive pairs to keep in handy so you're never left without.

Is your closet completely packed, but you never have anything to wear? Forget about a snooty personal shopper and create your own virtual model. Now there’s no excuse to look anything but fabulous so share your style genius on the iVillage What Should I Wear? message board.
