From NBC's Today show on Thursday May 15, 2008
Co-host Ann Curry and TODAY style editor Bobbie Thomas show how you can give your wardrobe some international appeal.
Watch the segment from TODAY The runways this season are filled with styles and influences from all around the world. Designers are taking note of international trends and fashions and putting them into their collections. You can give yourself a worldly look by adding a few festive accessories to your outfit (without breaking the bank!)
From ikat tunic tops to leopard swimwear, striking ethnic prints are popping-up everywhere this season. But as with any trend involving ultra-bright and graphic patterns, one piece is all you need for major impact. To avoid looking like Wilma Flintstone, accessorize with neutral, safari-inspired accents such as cork wedges, chunky wooden necklaces, straw hats and stacks of bangles.
Fashion flashbacks are showing up on runways, too! Did you give away that pair of treasured acid-wash jeans from high school? Do you have a neon yellow sweater in your dresser from days gone by? Or is your closet cluttered with now out-of-style items that you wish would make a comeback? Jill Martin highlights the comeback items this !
