In the first big heat wave of the summer, cities across America have seen temperatures rise to the triple digits. And with hot weather comes serious medical risks. Do you know all you need to know about heat exhaustion? Learn to beat the heat  with these tips to find out how to keep your family cool -- and healthy -- through the rising temps.

You might feel like you're melting, but that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune to cool down fast.  Simply programming your thermostat correctly can save you big bucks!  Because it costs more to cool air one degree than it does to heat it one degree, finding small ways to cut energy will save you a lot of money this summer.  Installing weather stripping, replacing cracked or broken glass in your windows and cleaning air-conditioning filters regularly are simple ways to save.
